The Associate Dean of Academic Affairs, as a member of the Dean's leadership team, works collaboratively with the other Associate Deans and the Chairs, and is responsible to the Dean. The Associate Dean will be responsible for providing leadership, strategic direction, and executive oversight for all matters related to academic portfolio management and evaluation, academic innovation and integration, compliance, and accreditation. Additionally, the Associate Dean maintains relationships with external entities and provides oversight of the admission, recruitment, retention, and graduation of students and the resources they require to participate in the programs.
The Associate Dean provides administrative oversight of program changes, course changes, course and curricular evaluations, and program reviews, by working closely with the Program Coordinators to ensure continuous assessment to maintain program quality. The Associate Dean is responsible for ensuring program quality, advising and guiding the School in meeting University requirements, completing annual reports, and leading self-studies to ensure that the School remains compliant with all relevant accrediting and professional licensing bodies.
The Associate Dean will identify and act upon opportunities to evolve and enhance the School's academic offerings to ensure that the School continues to offer diverse and cutting-edge programs. This includes collaboration with the Dean and leadership team to create marketing plans for new innovative programs and service offerings with the goal of growing admissions and enrollment in targeted areas. This position is responsible for the management of direct reports including, but not limited to, four FTE staff members.
