The Stiller School of Business (SSB) of Champlain College invites applications for an innovative and energetic administrator with the experience and expertise to assist our ongoing efforts to continuously improve our educational offerings and student experiences. Primary administrative responsibilities include active collaboration as part of the SSB Leadership Team (Dean, Chairs, Center Director, Operations Manager) with all strategic initiatives and internal operations required of a student-centered, professionally-focused business school and institution (see specific duties below). The ideal candidate will have held a similar faculty administrator position and is excited about the Assistant Dean opportunity with the possibility of advancement to Associate Dean in the future if highly successful. Candidates with a minimum of three years of demonstrated successful administrative experience at the level of Chair or higher will be considered.

Experience in developing and delivering engaging and innovative quantitative courses for undergraduate business students is required. Ideal candidates will possess the right combination of a terminal degree in a quantitative business field with sufficient experience in curricular innovation and assessment, or a terminal degree in education with sufficient professional and/or teaching experience in quantitative business courses. Faculty rank will be determined by level of previous teaching experience and success, with a reduced teaching load for administrative duties as described below.

Specific Administrative Duties:


  • Lead/support faculty with ongoing strategic divisional and program curricular initiatives and implementation

  • Assessment

  • Work collaboratively with the SSB Leadership Team and SSB faculty to systematize and record best practices of student learning in an undergraduate setting, and support for faculty interpreting, analyzing, and utilizing assessment

  • Faculty and Student Support

  • Assist SSB in supporting divisional initiatives and processes, and assist SSB students in enhancing services and processes so SSB students can flourish personally and professionally

Other Administrative Duties:

Student Recruitment

  • Attend recruitment events, assist SSB Leadership Team in coordination of faculty participation, and liaise with institutional marketing and admissions departments to facilitate collaboration with faculty on copy and messaging.

Professional and Community Engagement

  • Work in conjunction with Dean, Institutional Advancement, Career Collaborative and Alumni Relations to speak at community events, nurture relationships with key stakeholders, assist in developing internship and employment possibilities
