Position Summary Information

 

Mandatory

Master’s degree in Nursing from a regionally-accredited institution required. Unencumbered nursing license to practice in the state of Mississippi. A minimum of five years teaching experience in a nursing education program, to include teaching, curriculum development, program evaluation, and program accreditation. Leadership, management and/or administrative experience in the discipline of nursing. A minimum of two years of clinical experience. Must be able to satisfy a criminal history background check. Excellent interpersonal skills and computer skills required.

Desirable

Doctoral preparation desired. Administration experience desired.

Responsibilities

Administrative Responsibility for the Division of Nursing, which includes the Associate Degree Nursing Program, the Practical Nursing Program, and the Health Care Assistant Program. Responsibilities include budget management; employee recruitment, development, and retention; accreditation facilitation; and oversight of time and attendance, annual reporting, and inventory. Assist in the administration of the Nursing/Allied Health Center (NAHC).
