SALARY: $102,179.00 - $159,193.00 Annually

CLASS DESCRIPTION:
The purpose of this class is to provide academic leadership to the School of Business, Education, Justice and Law.
Compensation within the posted range is determined by a candidate's education level and/or years of experience in the field.  Generally, employees are hired in the lower third of the scale

 
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Earned Master's degree, doctorate preferred. Minimum of four years of full-time teaching experience at the collegiate level strongly preferred. Minimum of three years of supervisory experience, the experiences may be concurrent. Knowledge of principles of pedagogy, assessment, and student success required.

CLASS SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  1. Develop, articulate, and present the vision for assigned school or academic program.
  2. Hire, evaluate, and supervise assigned staff.
  3. Represent the school and the College with students, parents, professional organizations, and other relevant constituencies.
  4. Provide leadership in relation to college-wide goals by initiating, sustaining, delivering, or eliminating academic programs.
  5. Supervise the creation of timely class schedules based on student needs and institutional resources.
  6. Develop new curriculum and review/revise existing curriculum.
  7. Oversee budget preparation and management.

POSITION SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  1. Address strategic initiatives regarding future direction of SBJEL.
  2. Serve on internal and external committees and perform community outreach, as required.
  3. Address student issues and complaints.
