JOB SUMMARY/BASIC FUNCTION: Brazosport College, a two-time Top 10 finalist for the Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence and Achieving the Dream Leader College, seeks a dynamic and innovative individual as its Dean, School and College Partnerships. Reporting to the Provost and Vice President, Academic and Student Affairs and appropriate supervisory personnel at Angleton ISD, Brazosport ISD, Columbia-Brazoria ISD and Sweeny ISD, the Dean, School and College Partnerships oversees and promotes the dual credit program, including the Catalyst Program, by collaborating across institutions to ensure efficient and effective educational pathways.
The Dean will lead recruitment, retention, and completion efforts for dual credit programming; promote the values of a college-going culture and college and career readiness; develop educational opportunities for all students to achieve upward economic and social mobility; facilitate communication and professional development among all stakeholders; represent dual credit pathways to external stakeholders; develop and maintain administrative policies, procedures, and agreements for programs under its direction; establish key performance indicators and benchmarks, measure program effectiveness, and implement program improvement initiatives; develop partnerships, including internships, mentor programs, and other resources to support partnership programs; develop and implement professional development focusing on Catalyst Program and dual credit pathways for college and district faculty and staff; and provide general assistance to the Provost & Vice President, Academic and Student Affairs for administration of Dual Credit and other related duties. Supports Student Success initiatives and performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum of a Supervisory experience as a department head or director preferred.
Work experience in or working knowledge of public education preferred.
Master's degree with coursework and experience in statistical analysis and use of data to drive instructional improvement.
Must have the required knowledge of: the principles of learning theory, curriculum development, program evaluation and the tools to evaluate instructional effectiveness; tools needed for the delivery and enhancement of instruction; organizational development theory and classroom management skills; and proficiency in the use of presentation software and hardware. Must have excellent leadership, organizational, and communication (oral and written) skills; other qualities, experiences, and skills that enhance one's value to the institution; exceptional employment may be given special consideration.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: Supervisory experience as a department head or director preferred. Work experience in or working knowledge of public education preferred.
