Talladega College invites applications for the position of Dean of Business and Administration.
Deans have the responsibility for the implementation of educational policies under their academic areas. Additional duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: supervising faculty, recruitment, hiring and evaluation processes within his/her division; providing leadership in developing new academic programs and curriculum improvement; providing leadership in outcomes assessment; recommending students for degrees who have satisfied graduation requirements in their major fields; reviewing and approving department course schedules; assisting the Office of Alumni Affairs and Institutional Effectiveness with tracking graduates; and planning and allocating budget resources. The dean report directly to the Provost/Vice President of Academic Affairs who has the authority to assign other duties as needed. The successful candidate will be expected to teach 9 credit hours in Business and Administration per semester. A commitment to participate in division and college-wide activities is also expected.
Ph.D. in Business Administration and teaching experience at the college level preferred.
