Posting Summary |
About Rutgers Law In 2015, the Rutgers Schools of Law at Camden and Newark merged to form a single Rutgers Law School, the only public law school in New Jersey and the largest in the Northeast. Rutgers Law School continues to exist in both of its legacy locations, Camden and Newark, but has a single admissions process and unified admissions standards. In pursuing its public mission, Rutgers takes great pride in its affordability and its diversity, two bedrock traits (and commitments) that were central to the identity of each legacy school and remain foundational to the institution. The Position and Responsibilities Serving as a member of the Law School’s senior leadership team, the Senior Associate Dean for Enrollment Management and Financial Aid is responsible for all aspects of the School’s process of recruiting and enrolling students, including: execution of strategic enrollment plan; recruitment, selection, enrollment, and retention of a highly qualified and motivated student body; and the integration of marketing and recruitment strategies with existing and developing communications and social networking technologies. The Senior Associate Dean is responsible for the leadership, management, and overall performance of the Admissions staff. In addition, the Senior Associate Dean oversees the Law School’s professional financial aid functions, in collaboration with University financial aid leaders, which include awarding and disbursement of annual scholarships and grants, implementation of federal and private loan programs, administration of the Law School’s loan forgiveness program, and administration of the Law School’s federal work-study program. The Law School’s admissions goals, policies, and priorities are determined jointly by its two co-Deans, as advised by the faculty, and are carried out by the Senior Associate Dean. Those policies include the school’s historical and ongoing dedication to a broad and holistic review of each candidate that considers the entire applicant and not only numerical credentials. The successful candidate for this position will recognize and embrace the importance of holistic review as well as the centrality to the Law School’s mission of attracting a well-rounded, diverse, and inclusive student body.
